PINE BLUFF — Jeff Heller, grand knight of Knights of Columbus Three Hearts Council of St. Mary Parish in Pine Bluff, recently presented a check for $340 to Monica Quinones, Madison volunteer with Military Outreach USA, to support the Military Outreach USA program for helping homeless veterans.
This program provides a move-in kit of new household supplies for the kitchen, bathroom, and other essentials for veterans who have qualified for a housing voucher, have a job, and are exiting homelessness.
The move-in kit is an encouragement, and a Christian act of mercy, to a veteran who is trying to get his or her life back on track. If your church or organization would like to schedule Monica Quinones and Lauren Hartig (students from St. Ambrose Academy in Madison and Middleton High School respectively) to do a presentation on how this program serves the homeless veterans of Dane County, email Monica at tolt2heavn@gmail.com or call 608-712-0417.
This is an excellent program to feature during Lent and the entire Year of Mercy.
