Holy Ghost-Immaculate Conception (HG-IC) School in Dickeyville and Kieler supported the Go Orange Fight Hunger Day on September 14 that was promoted by NBC 15 and other local businesses. The students and staff wore their orange HG-IC school shirts and brought in five large boxes of food items. The food was taken to the St. Mary Second Harvest-Catholic Charities Mobile Food Pantry by Diane Drefcinski, who works for St. Mary Parish in Platteville as food pantry coordinator and HG-IC resource teacher. As you can see in the picture, the school had awesome support for fighting hunger in southwest Wisconsin. (Contributed photo) |
