WATERLOO — A Mass of Christian Burial for Fr. Ronald Rank, who died May 24, 2017, will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church of Holy Family Parish, 205 Milwaukee Ave., Waterloo, on Wednesday, May 31, at 11 a.m.
Bishop Robert C. Morlino, will be the main celebrant with Fr. Thomas Marr as homilist.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Father Rank was born in Chicago, Ill., to Joseph John and Clara (Quaiver) Rank. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 10, 1958, by Archbishop Amleto G. Cicognani, Apostolic Delegate to the United States, at St. Turibius Chapel, Pontifical College Josephinum, Worthington, Ohio.
Father Rank served the Diocese of Madison as parochial vicar of St. Patrick Parish, Madison; St. Bernard Parish, Middleton; and St. Ann Parish, Stoughton.
He was pastor of St. Clement Parish, Lancaster, and St. Joseph Parish, Waterloo, from which he retired in 2002.
During his years of service to the Diocese of Madison, Father Rank served as assistant to the chancellor. He also served as instructor at Queen of Apostles Seminary and Edgewood High School, Madison; faculty and dean of studies at Holy Name Seminary, Madison; and as an advisor to charismatic prayer groups throughout the diocese.
Memorials may be made to the libraries or emergency medical technicians (EMTs) in Marshall or Waterloo.
