DARLINGTON — Holy Rosary Parish’s Christmas Blessings Project is once again providing assistance to those in need.
The parish received requests from 17 Darlington families consisting of 74 total people. Through the generosity of the community, parishioners, and Darlington businesses, the parish will once again be able to provide for these families.
Although this year’s Christmas Blessings Program will not be providing food, the parish wants to remind everyone about the Monthly Manna mobile food pantry sponsored by Catholic Charities and Second Harvest. Food is delivered every third Friday of the month and dispersed between 2 and 3 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church parking lot.
There is usually a variety of foods: meats, breads, canned goods, and produce. There are no qualifications to be met; all are welcome; the food is free. Remember to bring a container.
For the winter months, December 18, January 15, and February 19, the food pantry will be held at the First Baptist Church in Darlington.
