CROSS PLAINS — St. Francis Xavier Parish, 2947 Thinnes St, Cross Plains, is inviting people to connect at a series of events planned throughout the year.
This month, it will host a three-day mission with Hope of the Poor, a US-based non-profit whose mission is to alleviate the poverty of being unloved.
Hope of the Poor serves the people of Mexico City including drug-addicted street kids, homeless families, and people who live at the city dump. They bring hope to the rejected, the lonely, and the unloved.
Hope of the Poor shares their message not only to promote the good work that they do but to inspire all generations to radically love and bring hope to the hopeless wherever they may live.
After a long period of isolation and difficulty, St. Francis Xavier invites anyone who is interested to attend any one or all three events for live music and engaging stories with Hope of the Poor co-founds Craig Johring and Danny Ledger.
This mission is sure to inspire and fill all with a renewed sense of hope in encountering Christ through the poor.
All Connect at St. Francis Xavier events are free and open to the public.
