MADISON — The annual $1 Coat Sale opened at Dig & Save Outlet, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul store at 1900 S. Park St., on November 3.
More than 10,000 donated coats were ready for the event, in sizes from infants to adults and in many styles, colors, and weights. St. Vinny’s will continue to sell coats for $1 at Dig & Save through the end of the year or until they are gone.
St. Vincent de Paul makes these donated coats available and affordable to help assure that everyone who needs a coat can get a coat. During the sale, customers will sort through more than 45 continually replenished bins full of coats.Dig & Save is a unique store in Madison. Clothing and many other items are typically sold by the pound. The $1 Coat Sale is an exception.
Dig & Save serves as a last-chance outlet for donated goods that didn’t sell quickly at St. Vincent de Paul’s six other Dane County thrift stores. Store inventory changes constantly, so shoppers never know what treasures they might dig up.
