MADISON — Christopher West, author of the bestselling books Good News About Sex & Marriage, Theology of the Body Explained, and Theology of the Body for Beginners, will speak in Madison Friday, Feb. 19, at the Bishop O’Connor Center, 702 S. High Point Rd., as part of the free St. Thérèse of Lisieux Lecture Series.
West’s talk, which will begin at 7 p.m., is titled “Your Call to Greatness: God, Sex and the Meaning of Life,” drawing on Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. Learn about God’s original plan for marriage and sexuality and how this plan gives profound meaning to all lives.
West is a research fellow and faculty member of the Theology of the Body Institute, an educational organization promoting Theology of the Body at the Christian and secular cultural levels. West is also one of the most sought-after speakers in the Church today, having delivered thousands of public lectures around the world. He and his wife Wendy have five children and live in Lancaster County, Penn.
This free event is expected to fill quickly, so the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis asks those interested to register to reserve a seat. Those attending must arrive by 6:45 p.m., as seats of no-shows will be given away at that time on a first-come, first-served basis.
