FORT ATKINSON — Catholic Schools Week (CSW) was such a special week for St. Joseph School (SJS) in Fort Atkinson.
It allowed students and staff to honor the support from St. Joseph Parish and the faith-filled traditions, standards, and accomplishments of St. Joseph School.
Honors and memories
During the St. Joseph CSW Masses on January 28 and 29, 2021 alum Max Jonas, 2021 alum Connor Wirth, 2020 alum Aiden Wirth, 2022 alum Caylah Boldt, and Amelia Debilzen shared their wonderful, memorable, and impactful memories of attending St. Joseph School.
Their speeches inspired us all with their personal connections about friendships, their teachers, and what motivated them the most.
Additionally, special honors went to our CSW Parishioners, Parents, and Teacher of the Year.
The honorees included parishioners Mary Jacques and Barb Russell.
Their countless hours of time and talent resonates throughout St. Joseph Parish and School.
We could not accomplish all that we do without their help at all events, all Masses, and several school-sponsored activities.
Our Parents of the Year were Jennifer and Bob Jonas.
For more than a decade, Jennifer and Bob have dedicated their time through coaching, attending all school activities, and sponsoring many of our service projects including our Rake A Thon and our athletic events.
Additionally, Jennifer and Bob support the parish mission in countless ways.
Their entire family inspires us with all they achieve at SJS and beyond.
Lastly, our CSW Teacher of the Year was Mrs. Bridget Nsibirwa.
She has provided our third grade students with hands-on activities, lessons, and projects that enhance and develop their skills and abilities in so many ways.
She includes challenging activities that produce higher-order thinking skills for the classroom and beyond.
We are so blessed to honor Mrs. Nsibirwa for her service to SJS for years to come.
Heart challenge
Additionally, students are also going to participate in the Kids Heart Challenge for the American Cancer Society.
Prayerfully, they will be learning how to take care of their hearts while donating to a wonderful cause.
We all need to take care of and support our hearts.
