MADISON — The St. Thomas More Society is hosting a lunch meeting featuring Jackson Fonder, president and CEO of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Madison.
Fonder will discuss how attorneys can recognize when clients need more than a legal solution to their problems. Catholic Charities has many programs that can assist people of all faiths or no faith and attorneys can benefit from knowing how to get additional help for their clients.
Continuing Legal Education (CLE) will be applied for, as this presentation will feature many ways attorneys can give their clients even better service through understanding signs of stress, grief, or other issues that would prevent a client from participating fully in their representation. Programs such as Mental Health Counseling, Respite Care, Elder Mentor, Companion Care, and others will be examined. The lunch and presentation will take place at noon on Friday, Dec. 6, at the offices of Foley and Lardner, 150 E. Gilman St. The event is sponsored by Toni Prestigiacomo, a board member of Catholic Charities.
Seating is limited, and reservations are required. Reservations must be made by sending a $10 check by December 3 made out to the St. Thomas More Society to Deb O’Brien, 2 E. Mifflin St., Ste. 600, Madison, WI 53703.
