ASHTON — Representatives of the Catholic Knights Insurance Society, Ashton-Middleton Branch 280, presented a $1,000 gift from the Catholic Knights National Insurance Company.
The gift matched the first $1,000 that was raised at a breakfast sponsored by Branch 280 at St. Peter Church in Ashton. The breakfast proceeds and the matching gift go to the Parish Cluster Habitat Church Build.
This marks the end of the fund raising of the five cluster parishes: St. Bernard, Middleton; St. Thomas Aquinas, Madison; St. Francis Xavier, Cross Plains; St. Peter, Ashton; and St. Martin of Tours, Martinsville. These five parishes have raised more than the required amount to begin the construction of a Habitat for Humanity home.
A formal kickoff ceremony for the build will be held on Saturday, May 15, at 12:30 p.m., on the corner of Northport Dr. and Kennedy Rd., Madison. All are welcome to attend.
