DeForest parish hosts Lenten mission
DEFOREST — St. Olaf Parish is hosting a Lenten mission, “At the Foot of the Cross with Mary,” from Friday, March 10, to Monday, March 13.
On Friday at 6:30 p.m., the parish will offer a virtual pilgrimage to the sanctuaries of Lourdes, France. Participants will immerse themselves in the Gospel Message of Lourdes as given by Our Lady to St. Bernadette. Come touch the grotto rock and experience the healing grace of Lourdes water.
Lord Teach Me to Pray Facilitator Trainings offered through online courses
MADISON — Facilitator training for “Lord Teach Me to Pray Part One” (LTMTP) will be held March 7 and 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. each evening.
The Bishop O’Connor Catholic Center at 702 S. High Point Rd. will host this Skype-based training. Participants must attend both nights of the program to complete the course. There is no charge for the training.
Focuses on prayer
The series focuses on prayer and was developed to meet the desire of Catholics for ongoing spiritual growth in their response to the call to holiness and a deeper commitment to Jesus as Lord.
Food Fair and Farmers Market in Reedsburg
REEDSBURG — The seventh annual Food Fair and Farmers Market will take place on Saturday, March 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Sacred Heart School gym, 545 N. Oak St. This event, which features locally sourced and sustainably grown food, is held to introduce people to the value of supporting local producers and eating nutritiously.
Night of reflection on Church’s view on suffering
PINE BLUFF — The Knights of Divine Mercy and the Ladies of Divine Mercy will combine for a night of reflection on Friday, March 3, starting at 6 p.m. at St. Mary of Pine Bluff Church, 3673 CR P, Cross Plains.
Fr. Mark Miller will be speaking on “What most people get wrong when they try to ‘offer up’ their suffering.”
Ralph Ringelstetter receives award at St. Aloysius, Sauk City
During the kickoff event for St. Aloysius School’s Catholic Schools Week at Divine Mercy Parish in Sauk City, Class of 1950 alumnus Ralph Ringelstetter was presented with the “Distinguished Graduate Award.”
Middleton parish to host Eucharistic miracles exhibit
MIDDLETON — A travelling exhibit of Eucharistic miracles from around the world will be on display from February 25 through March 5 at St. Bernard Catholic Church.
The exhibit, which is a duplicate of an exhibit by The Real Presence Association Inc., based in Chicago, includes large color photographs with historical descriptions, which tell the stories of hundreds of Eucharistic miracles that have occurred throughout the ages.
Parish mission on forgiveness, mercy
PORTAGE — For the first time in a decade, the parishes of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Portage and St. Mary Help of Christians in Briggsville will be hosting a parish mission the evenings of March 5 to 8 in Portage.
Presented by native son, Fr. John Meoska, OSB, the theme for the mission is “Mercy and Faithfulness Have Met” based on Psalm 85:10. Father Meoska’s presentations will focus on the mercy and faithfulness which God shows His people and our call to answer Him in the same way.
Mass commemorates death of priest
The annual Mass to commemorate the death of Venerable Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP, will be held at St. Patrick Church, Benton, at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26. Mazzuchelli Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus invite everyone to attend and join them for a social in the parish hall afterward.
