Sundowning
Dear Readers. Perhaps you’ve heard of “sundowning,” a condition also known as Sundowner’s Syndrome or Late Day Confusion. I firmly believe sundowning is not a physical nor mental nor emotional manifestation; I think it’s a spiritual one.
Some assembly is required
Perhaps the most critical of the creative projects we’re tasked with is that ongoing process of self-assembly; we’ve been given a part in the process but a successful outcome depends on us following His directions, His instructions written on our hearts.

Let’s celebrate the Summer Olympics!
The Games of the XXXIII Olympiad will be held in Paris this summer from late July until mid-August, but the tenth annual Linden Lodge Driveway Olympics will be held one afternoon only, at our cabin up north on Lake Mildred. Tickets are going fast but are still available (for both the Paris games and the Mildred games) but if you don’t care to travel, you might consider creating your own games with friends, family, or neighbors in your own backyard. May I offer you a few tips for setting up your “Olympics?”

“. . . Such stuff as dreams are made of . . .”
People have always been fascinated by this thing called sleep and the dreams that come with it. Since both are completely out of our control, our ancient ancestors decided both must be caused by supernatural forces. Makes sense. If God created the human brain, He also created the way it functions. So, for thousands of years, dreams have been associated with religion and the belief that God speaks to us in our dreams.
When I grow up, I want to be . . .
It’s important for us to be educated voters in the April primary and the November general election, but when we go to the polls, let’s remember what Samuel said and always look to our divine “President” to guide us as we make choices in our politics as well as choices in every aspect of our everyday lives.
