REEDSBURG — Camp Gray’s annual benefit dinner is said to be the most exciting fundraising event this side of the Mississippi, and on Saturday, April 18, the sixth annual dinner will be held with the theme “Love It While You Can.”
Raising over $25,000 for the camper scholarship fund, this event helps make summer camp possible for families who could not otherwise afford to send their kids.
Hard to forget
Summer camp at Camp Gray is an experience that is hard to forget. Kids are able to enjoy time apart from the busyness of the world at a place where they are welcome to enjoy nature, be themselves, and ask questions about their faith.
Camp Gray continues to direct their work towards the expectations of their mission statement: “Camp Gray invites people of all ages to encounter Jesus Christ in all creation, experience a fun and vibrant Catholic community, and be challenged to ever more deeply know, love, and serve God and neighbor.”
Dinner features
The dinner will be full of events including silent and live auctions, great food, and camp fun. The night will also provide many opportunities to learn more about the life-changing mission of Camp Gray and the effects it has already had on people’s lives.
A special treat to top off the evening will be a live performance from the one and only Ryan McGrath Band.
Long-time Camp Gray camper and staff member Ryan McGrath has been consistent in donating his talents to camp. He and his band are beginning to make waves in the music business by playing numerous venues in the Madison area and also recently opening for Grammy-winning singer Jennifer Hudson.
Everyone is invited to the dinner to support Camp Gray and to help give kids the chance to experience a vibrant, fun, Catholic community where they can learn and grow closer to God this summer.
