Run/walk at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Monona
MONONA — Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) School, 4913 Schofield St., invites everyone to S.O.A.R. — Support Our Athletic Race — on Sunday, May 24.
On-site registration and packet pickup for the run/walk is available from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The 5K race starts at 3 p.m. and the one-mile race begins at 3:05 p.m.
Corpus Christi Mass at Durward’s Glen
BARABOO — The 102nd annual Corpus Christi Mass and procession at Durward’s Glen will take place on Sunday, June 7, at 11 a.m.
The Mass will be celebrated at the outdoor Holy Family altar by Fr. Pedro Escribano of the Society of Jesus Christ the Priest.
After Mass, the Eucharistic procession will begin from the hilltop and include Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, flower girls, candles, incense, local musicians, flags, a crucifix, and the Blessed Sacrament carried under a decorative canopy.
Memorial Day Masses in Diocese of Madison
Memorial Day Masses will be held in the Diocese of Madison. Besides the Masses indicated here, check with local parishes for Masses being celebrated on Monday, May 25.
In Madison, a Memorial Day Mass will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, 2705 Regent St.,at 10 a.m. Msgr. James Bartylla, vicar general of the Diocese of Madison, will be the principal celebrant and homilist. Area priests will serve as concelebrants. Knights of Columbus will serve as an honor guard. The Mass will be held outdoors, but in case of rain, Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 405 S. Owen Dr. Refreshments will follow Mass.

Facilitator training retreat for Lord Teach Me to Pray series
BARABOO — The Midwest Facilitator Training Retreat for the Lord Teach Me to Pray (LTMTP) Series will be held Friday to Sunday, May 29 to 31, at Durward’s Glen Retreat and Conference Center.
Training for part one of LTMTP, Praying the Christian Virtues, will begin Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Mass and end Saturday at 3 p.m.
Training for part two of LTMTP, “My 19th Annotation,” will begin Saturday evening at 7 p.m. and end Sunday at 12 noon. There will be Mass on both Saturday and Sunday morning at 8 a.m. during the retreat.

Gala for the Glen features The Kells
BARABOO — The third annual Gala for the Glen, with Irish food, music, and fellowship, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic School gym, 300 Second St., on Saturday, May 30, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $50 and are available at Durward’s Glen or at the St. Joseph Parish office.
Following a dinner of shepherd‘s pie and Gaelic chicken catered by Claddagh Irish Pub from Middleton, The Kells, an international Irish band, will entertain with traditional Irish music.
Blessing of seeds and soil to be held
CROSS PLAINS — All gardeners and farmers (and all who appreciate good eating) are invited to a “Blessing of Seeds and Soil” Prayer Service to be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 2947 Thinnes St., at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 17.
Fr. Bernard Rott, diocesan rural life director, will offer a reflection followed by the Litany of St. Isidore the Farmer. The service will conclude with a blessing of seeds, of the land we steward as growers, and of the animals of farms and fields.
