MADISON — Early last month, thanks to many benevolent donors to the diocesan collections for Catholic Schools, we were able to purchase 161 medical grade air purifiers for school classrooms.
These purifiers have been clinically tested and proven to remove coronavirus through their multi-stage HEPA filtration system.
These units are part of the PPE that helped us bring students back to school face-to-face and keep schools safe for students and staff.
We thank all the people who made this purchase possible by donating directly to their school or to the August collection for Catholic schools.
We also thank the Catholic Herald for promoting the collection and the Office of Stewardship and Development, the Office of Finance, and the Catholic Diocese of Madison Foundation for their generosity and logistical assistance in making this possible.
Michael Lancaster is the superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Madison.
