San Juan Diego y Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe
La fiesta de hoy de San Juan Diego conmemora la primera aparición de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe a Juan Diego, que tuvo lugar el 9 de diciembre de 1531. El 9 de diciembre, que se observaba como la fiesta de la Inmaculada Concepción en todos los territorios españoles, cayó un sábado ese año. Juan Diego se dirigía a la iglesia para su clase de catecismo semanal cuando de repente escuchó música celestial que venía de la cima del cerro Tepeyac. Subiendo la colina para investigar, vio a una mujer joven que irradiaba una luz espléndida.
