To the editor:
More than 20 years ago, my new friend at our parish would take time to explain the Catholic Church’s teachings on pro-life to me. That led to meeting the pro-life prayer warriors outside the Madison Abortion Clinic across from St. Raphael Cathedral in Madison.
We were rejecting the politically correct mantra that promiscuity, contraception, and abortion are good for us. We were praying and witnessing for God’s plan for marriage and family.
On Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, we thanked God for the 15th Anniversary of the installation of Bishop Robert C. Morlino as fourth bishop of the Diocese of Madison. This event included the Rosary, a Mass celebrated by Bishop Morlino, and a reception following in the school at St. Mary Catholic Church of Pine Bluff. It was well attended by the faithful of the diocese. This event was sponsored by Vigil For Life Madison and Pro-Life Wisconsin.
Bishop Morlino has set a great pro-life example. We thank God for the gift of our Bishop. We thank our dear Bishop for working with God for pro-life.
Thank you to all in the diocese and from around the diocese and the state of Wisconsin who worked with God to make this event possible.
We are humble in our blessings and thankful in our strife. We are the Mystical Body of Christ. I love you all. Please continue working with God for pro-life.
Please sign up with Vigil For Life Madison to pray and witness outside Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin at 3706 Orin Rd., Madison. They commit abortion five days a week. We are there five days a week throughout the year, except during 40 Days For Life, which covers 24 hours a day for 40 days straight. This year it runs September 26 to November 4. Please contact Gwen at 608-393-8545 or email info@vigilforlife.org for more information, or to sign up for an hour on the sidewalk. We need your prayers and presence.
Thank you and God bless you.
Jeanne Breunig, Middleton, member of St. Mary Parish of Pine Bluff
