To the editor:
How ironic that on the same day I received the Catholic Herald newspaper, I also picked up a copy of the Isthmus newspaper. The latter paper had a great article about how a non-profit organization, Housing Initiatives, is focusing on securing housing for the homeless, including homeless veterans.
As I was reading about the amenities of the Holy Name Heights complex, I thought how wonderful it would be if a couple of those apartments could be set aside for homeless veterans.
It is the homeless that can’t afford housing in Madison. I am sure that most individuals who will move into Holy Name Heights can afford housing elsewhere.
