MONTELLO — In connection with the Year of Faith proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI, the parishes of the Fr. Marquette Cluster in Marquette and Green Lake Counties are sponsoring the Fr. Marquette Living Faith Series.
The series is entitled “Rediscovering Our Catholic Faith” and features visiting speakers who will teach about the Catholic faith using their own life stories.
The first session of the series is set for Wednesday, Sept. 26, beginning at 6:30 p.m. All sessions will be held at the Fr. Marquette Spiritual Life Center located at St. John the Baptist Parish in Montello.
On September 26, Fr. Randy Timmerman will address “The God Question: Faith in the midst of doubt about God’s existence.” Father Timmerman is a priest of the Diocese of Madison and serves as the pastor of St. John Vianney Parish in Janesville. He also served as parochial vicar and pastor of St. Paul’s University Catholic Center in Madison, where he worked with many young men and women striving to answer life’s biggest questions.
Refreshments will follow the presentation. For more information, call the St. John the Baptist Parish office at 608-297-7423. There is no charge.
