To the editor:
The debate on health care reform has been raging for months with the Democratic congressional leadership and various committees frantically trying to come up with a bill that will actually pass in Congress. But through it all, two things have not changed:
- The health care reform bills under serious consideration would establish federal funding of abortion and provide tax subsidies for private insurance that covers elective abortions.
- These health care reform measures would put older Americans in grave jeopardy through health care rationing.
Contact your U.S. representative and Wisconsin’s two U.S. senators.
Urge them to oppose any health care reform measure that does not explicitly exclude abortion or that contains provisions that would result in the rationing of health care.
