Theater Bus

MADISON -- Theater Bus for people over 60 has scheduled trips to Stoughton and Racine.

Broadway star and Lodi native Tom Wopat will sing at a Broadway musical review with Stoughton native Kathryn Dybdahl Amyotte at the Stoughton Opera House on Saturday, March 8. Dinner before will be at the Maple Tree Restaurant in McFarland. The cost, including transportation, is $46. Call 608-257-0003 for reservations before Feb. 26 or until full.

On Sunday, March 23, the Racine Theater Guild presents "Daddy's Dying (Who's Got the Will?)," a comedy about an eccentric family waiting for the demise of the father who cannot remember where he put his will. Luncheon at Lucarelli's Dockside Restaurant and transportation are included for $46. Call 608-257-0003 for reservations before March 3 or until full.

Pianists' concert

DODGEVILLE -- Dr. Adam Dachman, a surgeon, music composer, and performer, will appear with Matthew Zachary from New Jersey in concert at Grace Lutheran Church in Dodgeville on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m.

Grace Youth Group is sponsoring these pianists whose music brings a message of hope and the joy of life to people.

Admission is $8 for adults and $3 for students. A presale price is available for groups of 10 or more by calling 608-935-2454. Swanson Pharmacy at Springate Mall and members of the Grace Lutheran Youth Group are selling advance tickets.

'Sunday Afternoon Live'

MADISON -- "Sunday Afternoon Live from the Elvehjem" welcomes the Pro Arte Quartet Feb. 23 at 12:30 p.m. in Brittingham Gallery III.

Pro Arte Quartet returns this season with Haydn's Op. 1 no. 1, Zemlinski's String Quartet no. 3, and Felix Mendelssohn's String Quartet in E Flat, op. 12.

There will be a reception after the performance; a free docent-led tour of the Elvehjem Museum begins at 2 p.m.

"Sunday Afternoon Live from the Elvehjem" is a free weekly chamber music series presented by the Elvehjem Museum of Art and Wisconsin Public Radio, with the cooperation of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music.

Monday-Sunday, 7 a.m., 11:10 a.m., 6 p.m., 11 p.m., EWTN (cable) -- "Daily Mass." No 6 p.m. showing on Sunday.

Saturday, Feb. 22, 7 p.m., EWTN (cable) - "Sudan: And you do not cry with us." Produced by Aid to the Church in Need, this video tells the historical story of Sudan and how there has been an on-and-off relationship between Islam and Christianity since the fifth century. Repeats 2 a.m. Feb. 25; noon Feb. 27.

Sunday, Feb. 23, 7 a.m., WISC (CBS) - "Mass." Celebrated by Msgr. Thomas Campion, sponsored by Apostolate to the Handicapped.

Sunday, Feb. 23, 11:30 a.m., WHA (PBS) - "Foster Kids, Our Kids." Foster parents, foster children, and former foster children share candid stories on how this form of non-traditional care has impacted their lives.

Sunday, Feb. 23, 6 p.m., EWTN (cable) - "Shrine of the Holy Innocents." Pro-life talks from the Shrine of the Holy Innocents in New York feature speakers such as Fr. Frank Pavone, Mother Agnes Donovan, and Fr. Jim Good. Repeats noon Feb. 18; 2 a.m. Feb. 21.

Sunday, Feb. 23, 8:30 p.m., WYOU (cable) - "Christopher Close-up: Forgiveness." New York City police officer Steven McDonald discusses the shooting which left him confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, how his family and faith sustain him through difficult times, and how he came to forgive the teenager who shot him.

Tuesday, Feb. 25, 7 p.m., WHA (PBS) - "Teen Connection: Foster Care." Foster care professionals from the Door County Department of Health and Human Services, and others, offer assessments of the state's foster care system. Foster parents and children share their accounts.

Wednesday, Feb. 26, 8 p.m., WHA (PBS) - "Kiss Me, Kate." Award-winning revival of Cole Porter's Broadway 1948 musical recounting the on- and off-stage antics of a divorced couple (Brent Barrett and Rachel York) performing in Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew."

Saturday, March 1, 7 a.m., HBO (cable) - "Stuart Little." Premiere of the weekly animated series based on the children's book about spunky three-inch tall mouse Stuart, adopted as a son by the Little family.

Saturday, March 1, 7 p.m., EWTN (cable) - "Assisi: Home of St. Francis." Viewers are given a guided tour of the town of Assisi by St. Francis "himself." The tour visits all the sites in Assisi that played a significant role in the life of St. Francis. Assisi's spiritual and mystical dimension, and its artistic and cultural heritage are explored, including its winding medieval streets, its square, and its festivals.
