Tenebrae service at Baraboo parish
BARABOO — St. Joseph Parish will again celebrate the beautiful and peaceful Tenebrae service on Good Friday, March 25, at 7:30 p.m. Tenebrae, which means “shadows” in Latin, dates to the ancient Church.
The service incorporates light, music, Scripture, and prayer to focus on Jesus’ passion: his betrayal, abandonment, and agony. The Passion narrative is told in readings, followed by Scripture and a musical reflection.
St. Dennis Parish hosts grief support series
MADISON — St. Dennis Parish will host a four week “Moving Through Grief” series on Wednesday evenings, April 6, 13, 20, and 27 at the church, 505 Dempsey Rd. A group reunion will be held on Wednesday, May 11.
Sessions facilitated by the St. Dennis grief ministry team include presentations, prayer, small group discussion, handouts, and refreshments.

St. Ambrose Academy performs The Sound of Music
MADISON — This spring, St. Ambrose Academy students will bring Roger and Hammerstein’s beloved classic, The Sound of Music, to life.
Performances will be held April 8 to 10 at the Verona High School Performing Arts Center, 300 Richard St.
St. Mary Parish Players presents Variety Show
BLOOMINGTON — Members of St. Mary Parish in Bloomington and residents of the surrounding area will present their third annual Variety Show.
“Down Home Fun” is the theme of this year’s performances which will be performed at St. Mary School gym, 531 Congress St., on Sunday, March 20, beginning at 1 p.m. The doors will open at 12 noon.
Twins are ‘Principals for a Day’ in Fort Atkinson
FORT ATKINSON — For the second year in a row, St. Joseph School in Fort Atkinson Principal Kari Homb gave up her seat for a day and let the students take over.
Second-graders Bray and Christian Polk were Principals for a Day on February 5 — the final day of Catholic Schools Week.
The boys won the chance to be principal when their parents — Peg and George Polk — won a raffle at the school’s annual Home and School Heart Gala Fundraiser earlier this year.

Mass commemorates death of Venerable Samuel Mazzuchelli
BENTON — The annual Mass to commemorate the death of Venerable Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP, will be held at St. Patrick Church, Benton, at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28.
The Mazzuchelli Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus invite everyone to attend and join them for a social in the parish hall afterward.
