Organ concert recital
SINSINAWA -- The Summer Organ Concert Recital series continues with the 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3 concert in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa Mound.
The featured artist will be Dr. Aaron Burmeister from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The concert is free and open to the public.
Burmeister is currently serving as cantor at St. Andrew Lutheran Church of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, since Aug. 2002. He received a doctor of music degree from the Indiana University School of Music and has studied at the International Summer Academy for Organists in Haarlem, the Netherlands. Burmeister is very active in the American Guild of Organists.

Amish history program
MADISON -- The Wisconsin Historical Museum presents "The Amish - Schleitheim to Lancaster" on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 12:15 p.m.
Amish beginnings and their present environment will be displayed through photography in Switzerland and Wisconsin. Author Richard Lee Dawley will share visuals and answer questions about these paradoxical Christian congregations.

Fiddle concert, workshop
MADISON -- The Hardanger Fiddle Association of America will present "Music and Dance from Hallingdal, Norway" on Sunday, July 31, at 7 p.m. The concert will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1904 Winnebago St. Admission is $10 for adults. Children ages six to 14 are $5, five and under are free.
The concert will feature Master Hardanger Fiddler Arne Anderdal and Master Dancers Bjørn Lien and Sissel Rudningen.
The Hardanger Fiddle Association of America will hold its annual workshop, with fiddle and dance classes from July 28 to 31, at Folklore Village in Dodgeville. Go to www.hfaa.org for details or call 608-236-0468.
