Theater Bus
MADISON -- Theater Bus for people over 60 will travel to Verona on Thursday, June 23, for the Verona Area Community Theater performance of Seussical.
Dr. Seuss characters will be performing in this magical musical for all ages. Dinner will be served before the show at Benevenuto's Italian Restaurant.

MS Family Day at Dells
WISCONSIN DELLS -- People with multiple sclerosis (MS) and their family members are invited to enjoy a day of camaraderie and fun at MS Family Day at the Kalahari, a program presented by the National MS Society, Wisconsin Chapter.
MS Family Day will take place at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells on Saturday, May 14. Individuals with MS, their families, and friends are invited to attend.
Pre-registration is required for the day; adults are $10 and children three to 14 are $5. Discounts on water park entry fees will be available.

Music of India
MADISON -- "Kathakali Dance Ballet: Story from Hindu Mythology" will be performed Thursday, May 12, at 7:30 p.m., at the Music Hall, 925 Bascom Hill.
The performance is by five world-renowned dancers and a live orchestra of four musicians from the Kalamandalam, Sadanam, and Margi Schools of Dance.
Advance tickets are $15 or $10 for students. At the gate tickets are $17 or $12 for students.

Museum happenings
MADISON -- The Wisconsin Historical Museum, 30 N. Carroll St., will offer several events in May.
"Folk Expressions Workshop: Paint a Wooden Fish Decoy," will be held Saturday, May 14, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $7 per child ($5 for historical society members). The program is aimed for children ages eight to 13. Call 608-264-6567 to register or register at the door.
"Crafting History: Making a Wisconsin Hat," will be held Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will make a history based art project. This drop-in program is free with admission and geared for children in grades kindergarten to three.
The "Author's Workshop Series: Preserving War-time Correspondence" will be presented on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The workshop focuses on the importance of preserving war-time correspondence. There will be morning and afternoon speakers.
Workshop registrants will receive a box lunch, a copy of the book Voices from Vietnam, and a DVD of Wisconsin Public Television's Wisconsin World War II Stories. Cost is $35 for WHS member; $40 for non-members.

Olbrich Gardens events
MADISON -- Olbrich Gardens has a variety of special events scheduled.
Olbrich's Spectacular Spring Plant Sale is open to the public on Friday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Hanging baskets hands-on workshop will be held on Friday, May 13, from 1 to 1:30 p.m. and a Water Plants workshop on Saturday, May 14, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. No registration is required.
A hands-on workshop on "Ikebana Japanese Flower Arranging" will be held at Olbrich Botanical Gardens on Saturday, May 21, from 1 to 4 p.m. The registration deadline is May 12. Cost for the class is $60 for Olbrich members and $75 for the general public.
People are invited to wander through Olbrich Botanical Gardens with children and play garden games with the whole family during the Spring Family Garden Walk on Saturday, May 22, from 1 to 2 p.m.
The walk is free to Olbrich members and $2 per family for the general public. The registration deadline is May 16.
