Theater Bus plans outings
MADISON -- Theater Bus for people over 60 has two outings planned in September.
Shakespeare's favorite comedy Twelfth Night will be presented on Wednesday morning, Sept. 15, at the American Players Theatre in Spring Green. Luncheon will follow at the House
on the Rock Resort. The cost, including transportation, is $59. Call 608-257-0003 for reservations before the Aug. 30 deadline or until full.
The UW Varsity Band will present a concert in the new Overture Center for the Arts in Madison at noon on Sunday, Sept. 19. The performance and transportation are included in the price of $30. Call 608-257-0003 for reservations before the Sept. 2 deadline or until full.

Benedict Groeschel introduces the viewer to this preeminent Father of the Church who left over five million published words - ranging from history and philosophy to scriptural commentary and mystical writings.
Sunday, Aug. 29, 8:30 p.m., WYOU (cable) -- Christopher Close-Up: "The Wisdom of Big Bird." Caroll Spinney, the award-winning puppeteer behind Sesame Street's Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch, discusses the evolution of his career and how an experience on a New York City street taught him lessons about compassion.
Wednesday, Sept. 1, 10 p.m., WHA (PBS) -- Over Alaska. This program presents a journey by land and by air over some of the breathtaking landscapes and habitats that define Alaska. Mesmerizing images are interwoven with fascinating information about America's 49th state.
