Media/Arts BriefsFine Arts Day at schoolMADISON -- St. James School announces its third Fine Arts Day on Friday, Feb. 20. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with an assembly for all students, faculty, and any parents or guests. Redefined, a singing group from the University of Wisconsin, will entertain in song. The members use their own voices to create accompaniment. Following their concert and throughout the day, students will have a chance to take part in five different workshops. Students will sign up for classes. At 2:15 p.m., the Fine Arts Day will close with a concert by the Madison Brass. That concert is open to all, as are the whole day's activities. Web site voter resourceMADISON -- Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) and Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) are offering the Wisconsin Vote Web site as a resource for voters. The site, wisconsinvote.org, provides organized, comprehensive information leading up to the Feb. 17 presidential primary, fall primaries, and the November general election. Through the site, voters will be able to access information to help make an informed decision. It is also a way for voters to determine their local polling place and gives information on how to link to municipal clerks to find out about eligibility and absentee ballots. Brown Bag LunchMADISON -- The Wisconsin Historical Museum will present its next Brown Bag Lunch on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Julie Tharp, an English professor at UW-Wood County, will present a slide show and lecture on the use of quilts in the Underground Railroad. The program starts at 12:15 p.m. with a suggested donation of $2. The museum is located at 30 N. Carroll St. Call 608-264-6555 for details.
