Big Top performance
JEFFERSON -- The Council for the Performing Arts presents Big Top Chautauqua for a special school performance of the Best of the Big Top on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, 700 W. Milwaukee St. in Jefferson.

Sunday Afternoon Live
MADISON -- Sunday Afternoon Live from the Elvehjem welcomes the Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 12:30 p.m. in Brittingham Gallery III.
Madison musicians Stephanie Jutt and Alan Berquist on flutes, Parry Karp on cello, and Jeffrey Sykes on piano will perform an arrangement of Mozart's Sonata for Two Flute and Piano, K. 448, Samuel Barber's Sonata, op. 6 for cello and piano, and Ned Rorem's Trio for flute, cello, and piano.
There will be a reception after the performance; a free docent-led tour of the Elvehjem Museum begins at 2 p.m.
The series, hosted by music commentator Lori Skelton, is broadcast live
on Wisconsin Public Radio stations, including WERN, 88.7, Madison.
Bike ride fundraiser
MADISON -- On Sunday, Sept. 28, the third "Tour de Timor" bike ride fundraiser will start at 1 p.m. at the corner of John Nolen Dr. and Williamson St. (between Machinery Row and Monona Terrace) in Madison.
Participants will ride around Lake Monona. All proceeds will go towards
scholarships and an agricultural support program in Madison's East Timor sister city, Ainaro.
