Monona Terrace concert
MADISON -- The Monona Terrace will host The Pipe Circus on Thursday, June 26, as part of the "Bank One Concerts on the Rooftop" series. The band plays funky-groove rock music.
The concert is free, open to the public, and begins at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Monona Terrace is located at One John Nolen Dr. For further information call 608-261-4000.
Theater Bus trips
MADISON -- Theater Bus for people over 60 is will attend the production of The Gondoliers at Music Hall on the UW campus on Saturday, July 12. Dinner will be at Josie's Restaurant before the performance. Transportation and dinner are included in the price of $31.
On Sunday, July 20, the bus will travel to Racine Theater Guild for a nostalgic show about Patsy Cline. A brunch buffet will served at Summit Restaurant. The cost is $48.

Sunday, June 22, 6 p.m., WKOW (ABC) -- 101 Dalmatians (1996). Charming live-action remake of the 1961 Disney cartoon in which English pets and barnyard animals unite to rescue a litter of precious puppies from being turned into a polka-dotted fur coat for wicked fashion plate Cruella DeVil (Glenn Close). Directed by Stephen Herek, the endearing family story proceeds at a bracing pace, with an amusingly over-the-top caricature by Close, fairy tale-like visuals, and a sprinkling of slapstick confrontations. The USCCB Office for Film & Broadcasting classification of the theatrical version was A-I - general patronage. The Motion Picture Association of America rating was G - general audiences.

Saturday, June 28, 8:30 p.m., TCM (cable) -- The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1974). John Phillip Law as Sinbad sails off to find the Fountain of Destiny, harassed by a variety of demons and other nasty types conjured up by Ray Harryhausen's imaginative special effects which upstage the human cast. Director Gordon Hessler's lighthearted and entertaining adventure movie brings a treat for youngsters and those adults who wish to recapture some of the magic of childhood. The USCCB Office for Film & Broadcasting classification of the theatrical version was A-I - general patronage. Not rated by the Motion Picture Association of America.
