Monona Terrace events
MADISON -- The jazz group Harmonious Wail will perform as part of the "Concerts on the Rooftop" series at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center on Thursday, June 12.
The concert is free, open to the public, and begins at 6 p.m.
DA of TA-DA The Clowns will entertain children with his balloon mastery as part of the "Lakeside Kids" children's program at Monona Terrace on Wednesday, June 18, at 10 a.m.
The program is free and provides hands-on fun and learning designed for children ages four to eight.

Theater Bus trip
MADISON -- Theater Bus for people over 60 is planning a trip to the Verona Community Theater for The Unsinkable Molly Brown on Thursday evening, June 26.
The musical is about an historical character and her survival on the Titanic. A buffet dinner at the Dry Bean will precede the show. Transportation, dinner, and the show are included in the cost of $32. For reservations, call 608-257-0003.

Sunday, June 15, 7 p.m., Discovery (cable) -- Walking With Cavemen. Another of the channel's specials about the prehistoric era, this time covering 3.5 million years of human evolution.
Wednesday, June 18, 10:30 p.m., WHA (PBS) -- Venous Flow: States of Grace. Choreographer Li Chiao-Ping's work, adapted by Douglas Rosenberg, is the story of dancers and artists and their solutions to overcoming personal trauma. Two segments - "Venous Flow" and "Grace" - relate autobiographically to choreographer Li's well-publicized and serious car accident in 1999 that threatened her future as a dancer. Others participate as well in this journey through healing of the mind and body as individuals tell their stories of struggle, perseverance, and triumph.
Saturday, June 21, 5 p.m., WHA (PBS) -- Lawrence Welk: God Bless America. This special, which marks the 100th birthday of Lawrence Welk, looks at the nation's history through the eyes and experiences of the famous bandleader. The program features stars from the Welk Musical Family, including Anacani, Elaine Balden, Bobby Burgess, Jo Ann Castle, Henry Cuesta, Dick Dale, Ralna English, Joe Feeney, Myron Floren, Guy Hovis, Jack Imel, The Lennon Sisters, Mary Lou Metzger, Tom Netherton, Bob Ralston, and Norma Zimmer.
