Elizabethan dinner on June 15
SINSINAWA -- Sinsinawa Mound will feature an Elizabethan Dinner on Saturday, June 15.
The evening includes a bagpiper and madrigal singers. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is served at 7 p.m.
There is limited seating, so early purchase of tickets is encouraged. Tickets are $35 per person and must be ordered by Saturday, June 1. Make reservations by calling 608-748-4411, ext. 882.
Sinsinawa Mound, the motherhouse for Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, is located in southwest Wisconsin on County Road Z, off Highway 11.
Oakwood Chamber Players
MADISON -- The Oakwood Chamber Players will present "Sailing into Summer" on Saturday, June 1, at Oakwood Village Auditorium, 6209 Mineral Point Rd., at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, June 2, at First Unitarian Society, 900 University Bay Dr., at 3 p.m.
"Sailing into Summer" will feature Beethoven's Trio for clarinet, cello, and piano; Martinu's La Revue de Cuisine for mixed ensemble; Kassati's De facto for oboe, horn, and piano; and Earnest's Trio Morceau for violin, clarinet, and cello. Guest artist are Karen Boe, piano, and John Aley, trumpet.
Individual tickets are $12 for adults; $8 for senior citizens; and $5 for students. For tickets and additional information, call 608-230-4316.
Historian lectures on Wright designs
MADISON -- Historian Jack Holzhueter will speak on Tuesday, May 28, as part of the Wright Lecture Series at Monona Terrace.
A consultant for the restoration of the state Capitol and one-time occupant of Wright's Lamp House, Holzhueter's presentation will examine Wright's designs for a series of works for Robert Lamp.
The lecture will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at Monona Terrace. Co-sponsored by Southwest Chapter AIA Wisconsin, Monona Terrace, and the Frank Lloyd Wright Wisconsin Heritage Tourism Program, the lectures are free and open to the public.

Monday, May 27, 7 p.m., WKOW (ABC) - "Moonraker" (1979). British agent James Bond (Roger Moore) teams up with a CIA operative (Lois Chiles) to save the world from a deadly shower launched from outer space by a madman (Michael Lonsdale). Director Lewis Gilbert offers the usual Bond fare with the usual mix of stylized sex and violence. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops classification of the theatrical version was A-III - adults. The Motion Picture Association of America rating was PG - parental guidance suggested.
Friday, May 31, 7 p.m., WMSN (Fox) - "Dragonheart" (1996). Medieval fantasy in which an honorable knight (Dennis Quaid), disillusioned after the prince he trained becomes a tyrannical king, joins forces with a mammoth talking dragon (voice of Sean Connery) to lead a peasant revolt. Director Rob Cohen's noble-minded story is remarkable for its magnificent, computer-generated beast, but is otherwise a flat-footed spectacle hampered by terribly corny dialogue. Stylized battlefield violence. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops classification of the theatrical version was A-II - adults and adolescents. The Motion Picture Association of America rating was PG-13 - parents are strongly cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
Saturday, June 1, 7 p.m., EWTN (cable) - "The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist." Fr. Jude Winkler reveals the Eucharistic spirituality of Catholics and how it brings about a closer union with Christ. Repeats 2 a.m. June 4; 9 p.m. June 5; noon June 6.
