Barbara and Robert Ozburn of Janesville, on behalf of Human Life International and its president, Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, presented Bishop Robert C. Morlino with the Cardinal Von Galen Award for his "strong pro-life actions and commitment to the defense of the most innocent of Christ's 'least brethren'" which "has inspired all of us with certain hope that the Church still has leaders who stand up courageously for all that is right." The Cardinal Von Galen Award is named after the German prelate who stood against the Nazi euthanasia program in the 1930s and 1940s. Human Life International is a worldwide Catholic organization dedicated to upholding the value of human life in full conformity to the teachings of the Catholic Faith.
