Sunday, April 20, 6 p.m., WKOW (ABC) - "The Ten Commandments" (1956). Less an inspirational story based on biblical sources than a dramatic vehicle with a sense of history, director Cecil B. DeMille's epic production offers some spectacular re-creations, excellent technical effects and good acting from a fine cast, including Charlton Heston as Moses, Yul Brynner, Anne Baxter, Edward G. Robinson, and many other stars of the era. The USCCB Office for Film & Broadcasting classification of the theatrical version was A-I - general patronage. The Motion Picture Association of America rating was G - general audiences.

Sunday, April 20, 7 p.m., Disney (cable) - "Annie" (1982). Although John Huston's direction of the screen version of the popular stage musical is somewhat cynical and largely disappointing, it does preserve much of the exotic ambiance of the comic strip about the little orphan (Aileen Quinn) and Daddy Warbucks (Albert Finney). With awkward dance numbers, some coarse dialogue and Carol Burnett's mean-spirited characterization, the movie's appeal is somewhat limited beyond uncritical viewers. The USCCB Office for Film & Broadcasting classification of the theatrical version was A-I - general patronage. The Motion Picture Association of America rating was PG - parental guidance suggested.

Sunday, April 20, 8 p.m., Discovery (cable) - "James, Brother of Jesus." Documentary surrounding the discovery of a limestone burial box whose Aramaic inscription suggests the remains are of a man who was the son of Joseph and brother of Jesus, with speculation on how this inscription could be interpreted.

Sunday, April 20, 8:30 p.m., WYOU (cable) - "Christopher Close-up: Five past midnight in Bhopal." Author Dominique Lapierre explores the stories of triumph and tragedy that occurred in India following the 1984 industrial accident which killed nearly 30,000 people.

Tuesday, April 22, 9:30 p.m., WHA (PBS) - "Chesapeake Watermen: Between Heaven and Earth." This program features a University of Wisconsin-Madison student's role in mediating the conflict between environmentalists and Chesapeake Bay crab fishermen.
